Apparel

Apparel represents where we are from, in a geographic, familial, and philosophical sense. A mage from the floating island of Virginia Isle, proud of their Unsoiled bloodline and their family's history of artificiery, looks quite distinct from one who grew up in the mundane city of Boulder, and who is now eager to prove that frippery and family are no substitute for talent.

One player told me that working on her costume helped her to understand who her character truly was, almost as if they were taking shape before her. I personally have found that considering how our characters look to the world helps give us the confidence to take on the mantle of our imagined avatars.
